FOUNDER AND CEO
Ayubu Nnko
A founder and CEO of Education for African Animals Welfare Organization, based in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
Ayubu is a communication professional with over 15 years’ experience in designing and implementing communication for development initiatives aimed at catalysing change among communities in Tanzania.
His area of specialization is Project Management focusing on content development for radio, printing– including magazines and newsletters, online platforms and delivering these products to the target audiences. He has participated in developing content along plants and livestock value chains and collaborating with diverse experts and institutions to package the content appropriately. This includes how farmers can make the best use of available resources to improve the quality of their crops and increase food sustainability through eco-friendly farming practices as they maintain animal welfare standards.
Ayubu is also a media trainer; enabling agriculture and environment journalists to build their skills in reporting agriculture in Tanzania and beyond.
Ayubu holds a Diploma in Journalism from Royal College of Tanzania, Bachelor of Business Administration from St. John’s University of Tanzania and a Masters in Project Management (M&E) from Open University of Tanzania.
Ayubu is committed to ensuring that animals are transformed into a meaningful and ensure their welfare for the majority of the community in Tanzania.
He is leading EAAW organization that focuses on animal issues while focusing focuses their hands-on efforts in Makalama and Iramba district,located in Singida Region because of it’s severity in rabies cases, number of less cared animals like dogs,cats, donkeys and low level of awareness on animal welfare in these areas.
EAAW is also leading the Cage Free activities for layers in Tanzania while emphasizing and educating communities on plant diet for ethical and health reasons.
FINANCE AND ADMIN MANAGER
Elinuru Samwel
Elinuru Lives in Dar es Salaam.
She is a Finance and Administration expert after some years of administration, procurement and logistics experience.With passion for animal welfare, she became involved with Education for African Animals Welfare Organization since its inception in 2017. She started as a volunteer during the registration process and transitioned to the EAAW staff. She is supporting all EAAW activities while doing some other jobs to earn her life.
MONITORING & EVALUATION
Miss Gladness Kampa
Gladness is a Monitoring and Evaluation specialist with over 5 years’ experience indesigning and implementing monitoring, evaluation and research development initiativesaimed at catalyzing change among communities in Tanzania.
Her area of specialization is research and project management for community development for human and animals relation. She has participated in developing content along plant and livestock value chains and collaborating with diverse experts andi nstitutions to package the content appropriately. This includes how farmers can improve the quality of their livestock and maintain their welfare while providing cruel free products.Gladness holds a Bachelor Degree in Community Development with bias in project planning management from Tengeru Institute of Community Development (TICD) of Tanzania A Master’s Degree in Project Management in Monitoring and Evaluation from Open University of Tanzania.
Gladness is committed to ensure community and animals are well treated and creating
strong bond between them for majority of community in Africa.
COMMUNICATION AND CONTENT CREATOR
Julius Emanuely
Julius Emanuely, a talented video editor and advocate for animal welfare from Tanzania, possesses a diverse range of skills. With a Bachelor’s degree in Participatory Planning Project and management, he combines his passion for technology with his commitment to animal welfare. By working as a website and graphics designer, Julius creates engaging content that raises awareness about animal welfare issues, particularly concerning farmed animals. Through his unique approach, which includes creating cartoon-style,Documentary videos, he effectively engages with audiences, inspiring them towards positive change.
PROJECT COORDINATOR
Lightness Mushi
Lightness is a passionate project facilitator dedicated to promote health and well-being through YOUR HEALTH MY LIFE project at Education for African Animal Welfare Organization. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Human Resource Management and is devoted to empower an individual to prioritize their physical and mental health. In her workshops, Lightness creates a positive and uplifting environment, emphasizing the importance of joy and positivity in the pursuit of a healthy lifestyle. She believes that incorporating fun into the learning process enhances engagement and fosters a sense of enjoyment and fulfillment in the wellness journey of participants. Lightness is committed to promote a plant-based diet and empower society to take charge of their health. By advocating for balanced and sustainable eating habits, she encourages community to include more fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and legumes in their meals.
